About Us

Gwyn has been a keen flight simulation enthusiast since the mid nineties which lead to him gaining his recreational pilot’s licence in 1999 with ratings for C150, C172 and Eagle150X. In 2004, he commenced construction of his own B737-800NG flight simulator cockpit and joined the newly formed enthusiast’s website www.mycockpit.org Shortly after joining, he was invited to become a member of staff. Since then, Gwyn has been sharing knowledge and offering mechanical assistance to other cockpit builders and enthusiasts as the moderator of “Westozy’s Mechanical Engineering” forum. He has also had several articles published in Computer Pilot magazine. Aerosim Solutions also supplies throttle components to www.throttletek.com

Many visitors young and old frequent Gwyn’s Boeing 737 cockpit simulator on a regular basis and he is always happy to kick the tyres and light the fires for visitors! Five qualified airline pilots have now flown the simulator and each one has been amazed at the immersive experience and replication of accuracy that is possible in a home built cockpit simulator
